What Happens After Domestic Arrival

An item's life at OOPbuy's warehouse:

  1. Arrives from the seller.
  2. Gets weighed, scanned, and photographed (QC).
  3. You inspect and approve (or reject).
  4. Approved items go to storage bins.
  5. Stays there until you submit a parcel.

In My Warehouse, each accepted item shows its weight and dimensions. Tick the items you want and click Create Waybill when you're ready to ship.

Storage Basics

  • Free window — typically 90 days from arrival. Check current policy in your account.
  • Daily storage fee after the free window — usually a small amount per item per day.
  • No item limit — you can stockpile dozens of orders before parcel submission.
  • Visual inventory — your account shows all stored items with photos.

Why Consolidation Matters

The single biggest shipping saving available. A 1-item parcel at 0.5 kg and a 10-item parcel at 3 kg don't cost 10x as much — typically more like 3x. Math:

  • Ship 5 items separately (5 × $13) = $65.
  • Consolidate 5 items into one 2 kg parcel ≈ $24.
  • Savings: $41, more than 60%.

This is why agents exist. Use the warehouse as your temporary shopping basket.

When to Submit a Parcel

Rules of thumb:

  • You've hit your intended order count.
  • Free storage window is approaching expiration.
  • You need items by a specific date (work backwards from that).
  • You tested the flow with one item and now want to ship bulk.

No rush otherwise — storage is a feature, not a cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long can items stay for free?
Typically 90 days from arrival, but check current OOPbuy policy in your account — this window occasionally changes.
What happens if I exceed the free storage window?
Daily storage fees accrue. The fee is small per item but compounds — after a few months, it can rival the product price for cheap items.
Can I remove an item from storage without shipping?
Generally no — once in storage, items ship. Rare exceptions for damage or policy changes.
Can I physically visit the warehouse?
No. Warehouse is for operations only.
