What Parcel Submission Means

"Parcel submission" is the formal request to OOPbuy: please pack these items into one box and quote me international shipping. Before submission, items sit in storage. After submission, OOPbuy workers bundle, weigh, and quote.

You don't ship yet. The quote is based on packed weight, not item weight — which usually means the estimate you had is off by 10–30%.

How to Select Items

In "Submit Parcel," your storage inventory appears as a checklist. Tick items to include. Tips:

  • Consolidate as much as possible (shipping scales favorably with weight).
  • Separate sensitive items (electronics, liquids, brand-heavy) — they need a sensitive line.
  • Don't mix items bound for different addresses.

Optional Services

Most OOPbuy parcels support these:

  • Remove original packaging (shoe box, gift box) — big volume savings for shoes.
  • Add bubble wrap — cheap insurance for fragile items.
  • Waterproof bag — for rainy destinations.
  • Tag removal — if destination customs is strict about labels.
  • Photo before ship — final confirmation photo of packed box.

Some services have small fees, others are free — fee schedule shown in the form.

What to Check Before Paying Shipping

After OOPbuy packs and weighs the box, a final quote appears. Before clicking pay:

  1. Verify line choice. You selected general? sensitive? priority? Correct?
  2. Check weight. Way more than expected? Ask for a photo — could be over-packing.
  3. Check line fit. Heavy parcel on a line that's expensive above 2kg? Consider switching.

Once you pay, line and items are locked.

What Happens After Submission

After payment:

  1. Parcel is handed to the carrier (1–3 days typically).
  2. Tracking number appears in your account.
  3. International transit — 7–18 days depending on line and country.
  4. Delivery.

Most lines give mid-journey updates; a few are "silent" until arrival. Don't panic on silent lines.

Packaging Integrity Standards

Some product categories must remain in original sealed condition for the platform's no-reason return policy to apply. If you intend to keep the option of returning open, do not open or modify the listed packaging before parcel submission.

"Sealed" refers to the manufacturer's seals or plastic wrap on the product packaging. For food, cosmetics, medical devices, contraceptives, personal care, adult supplies, baby diapers, and audio-visual products, the original sealing must remain intact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel a parcel after submission but before payment?
Yes. Until you pay the final shipping, cancellation releases items back to storage.
Can I change the shipping line after paying?
Generally no. Paid shipping locks the line.
Why is the final weight different from the item weight?
Packaging adds weight, and volumetric weight (size-based) can exceed actual weight. See our shipping guide for details.

Yes. Adjust the shipping address in the parcel submission form.
