The Four Cost Components
Every OOPbuy parcel's total cost is the sum of:
| Component | Paid When | Determined By |
|---|---|---|
| Product price | At order | Seller's listed price |
| Domestic shipping | At order | Seller's policy (often free, 5–20 CNY for consolidated) |
| Service fee | At order | OOPbuy's rate (percent or flat) |
| International shipping | At parcel submission | Country + weight + line choice |
The figures above are a made-up illustration to show the split — not a quote. OOPbuy bills in CNY and converts to your currency at checkout; your own service-fee rate and the seller's domestic fee decide the real subtotal. International shipping is quoted only once your parcel is weighed — see the shipping page.
Product Cost
The seller's listed price, converted from CNY to your currency at current exchange rate. OOPbuy locks the rate at payment; short-term FX shifts don't affect you.
Service Fee
OOPbuy's margin for handling. Structure varies by account tier:
- Percentage (e.g., 5–10% of product price).
- Flat fee (e.g., 3–8 CNY per order).
- Sometimes free for cheap items or promotional periods.
Check your exact rate in account settings.
Domestic Delivery Fee
Seller → OOPbuy warehouse. Most Chinese sellers ship domestically free; some charge 5–20 CNY. This is the seller's decision, not OOPbuy's.
International Shipping
Determined by:
- Destination country.
- Parcel weight (actual or volumetric, whichever is larger).
- Shipping line (general / sensitive / priority).
See our shipping comparison page for rates by country and weight band.
Why Final Cost May Change
The estimate at order is based on item weight alone. The final bill uses packed weight (includes box, padding, etc.) or volumetric weight (if large-but-light). Expect 10–30% drift either way. Parcel rehearsal (about 20 RMB per parcel) tightens the estimate.
