How an order moves

An OOPbuy order is a two-payment flow. First you pay the product price and the China domestic shipping; OOPbuy buys it and stores it. Later you consolidate stored items into one parcel and pay international shipping. Each item you order from the Spreadsheet runs through the statuses below.

OOPbuy product page: choosing colour, size and quantity, adding a note, then Buy Now
1. On the main site, pick the variant (colour / size), set the quantity, add any note, then Buy Now.
OOPbuy order confirmation screen with product details, totals and Submit Order
2. Confirm the product, address and totals, agree to the terms, then Submit Order. International shipping is not charged at this step.
OOPbuy Payment Successful screen noting the goods are stored, not shipped directly
3. Payment Successful. OOPbuy buys and stores the item — it is not shipped to you yet. You submit a parcel and pay international shipping later.

How long things take

  • Seller shipping: most Chinese sellers ship within 3–7 days (JD / Amazon self-operated often same day). Custom and pre-sale items take longer.
  • To the warehouse: the warehouse is in Xiamen, Fujian — 1–2 working days from the Pearl River Delta, 3–5 from the Yangtze River Delta, around 7 from remote areas.
  • Order processing: orders paid 09:00–18:00 (Beijing) are processed within ~6 hours; orders paid overnight by 14:00 the next day.
  • Inspection & storage: usually about one working day after arrival, then the status turns to Stored.

Fees on a purchase

There's no purchasing service fee for the main platforms (Taobao, Tmall, 1688, JD and similar). Your total is:

Product cost + international shipping + customs declaration fee

  • Product cost = item price + China domestic shipping (seller → warehouse).
  • International shipping = based on weight, the line you choose, and destination.
  • Customs declaration fee = typically around ¥8 per parcel, depending on the line.

Value-added services (extra QC photos, repacking, etc.) are optional add-ons.

Common situations

Changing an order

If the seller hasn't shipped, OOPbuy can try to negotiate a change. Once the seller has shipped, the order can't be edited — you'd request a return after it reaches the warehouse and place a new order for the variant you want, covering the return shipping yourself.

Paying an outstanding balance

Sometimes the seller's real price or domestic shipping is higher than what was submitted. The supplementary payment (usually the domestic shipping difference) must be cleared before the order can be placed.

Buying several items from one seller

Submit and pay for them together and OOPbuy charges China domestic shipping once. If the combined order is overweight, the purchaser may ask you to top up the difference.

If an item is out of stock

If the seller reports it out of stock, OOPbuy lets you know. If you don't reply within 72 hours, the order is cancelled and refunded automatically.

Frequently asked questions

The status says "Received" but I can't see the item in my warehouse. Why?
"Received" means it reached the warehouse and is being weighed and inspected. Once that's done the status becomes "Stored" and it appears on your Warehouse page, ready to ship.
What does "Pending for confirmation" mean?
OOPbuy needs to verify some detail about your item. The order page shows what's needed — just follow the instructions and reply.
Does OOPbuy do a quality check?
Yes. Every item is inspected and weighed, and QC photos are taken. Note that colour difference, size tolerance, and performance of specialist electronics aren't part of the standard check, and sealed categories (CDs, adult products, handmade goods) are only checked externally.
What happens to free gifts the seller includes?
Any gift the seller sends is yours, whatever its value, and OOPbuy packs it with your parcel unless it can't be mailed. If you need a specific gift, write it in the order note so OOPbuy can ask the seller — though sellers can't be forced to include it.
What do I do once an item is "Stored"?
Go to your Warehouse, tick the items you want, and submit a parcel. OOPbuy packs them and ships to the address you provide. See how to submit a parcel.
Why does OOPbuy use third-party service providers?
For items where brand authorisation or mailing rules are hard to confirm, vetted third-party providers handle purchase, inspection, storage and logistics under OOPbuy's standards. Products from different providers can still be combined into one parcel, and OOPbuy customer service handles any after-sales.
